The heart of Organic Erotic is coming home.
Coming home, for us, means returning to yourself. Resting inside yourself. Living from your internal world.
Last night I was reading Eros Sutras Volume 4, Relationship Sutra 2: Relationship as Art. It says, “Eros invites us to live in connected solitude, where we sit inside of the spaciousness of our interior world, in sustained connection with the external world.”
When I read this, I thought, this is where I want to live. And this is what I want Organic Erotic to create space for.
As women, our interior worlds are filled with rich jewels. The only thing left to do is honor them, witness them, know them, and share them. Often women doubt, forget, deny, or set aside these jewels. We think beauty is outside of us. But in truth, it is already within. Creating a space you can come home to is one of the foundational ways we stay in relationship with that beauty. And just as I want all women to know this, I must remember it for myself.
As I continue building Organic Erotic into a company that reflects what I believe, honor, and love, I have to keep coming back home. To remember. To feel into what I truly want people to know. In the past our slogan was “empty. circulate. shop.” A key ethos and practice. Then it became “Her Home Became Her Sanctuary.” A reminder of the power of home and women. Now, as we expand into retail, furniture, beauty, and a sensory gallery, I feel something new emerging.
Joanna asked me, “What do you feel when you walk into Organic Erotic? What do customers experience?”
I said, I feel beauty. Relaxation. Space for my energy to flow. Love. Joy. Home. When a customer walks in, they are welcomed. Leah wraps them up. She evokes their desire.
From that conversation, this felt true:
**Organic Erotic: Beauty You Can Feel.**
It is not about an aesthetic. It is about what moves inside you. Softness. Breath. Earth. Ground. Love. The feminine.
Coming back to ourselves, especially as women, is essential. Sometimes it is messy. Sometimes friends do not understand. Sometimes people are upset when you can no longer offer what they expect. But coming back to you is the greatest service you can offer. Because you are the jewel.
In difficult times, I return to a series of books I love, the Eros Sutras. Five books that look at life through the lens of Eros. So many women read them and say, “This is how I have always seen the world.” That delights me.
