Size: 64" H, 24" shade

Ribbons of dark hammered steel rise from a pale stone base and turn around one another as they climb, loose and unhurried, like ribbon let go in a slow wind. At the top they gather into a small bow, just beneath a wide pleated shade.

The steel is worked by hand, a warm brown with a quiet patina, and it catches the light along every edge. Run a finger down one band and you can feel the hammer in it. Below, a round of pale travertine holds it all steady, heavy and calm, the earth this lamp grows out of.

Switch it on and the shade glows soft and wide, two feet of warm light over a reading chair, a bedside, a corner that has been waiting for something to happen in it. Switched off, it still holds the room like a sculpture.

It brings movement to a space, and a feminine kind of strength. Earthy at its feet, airy at its crown, all curve and breath in between.

A vintage piece, offered in its found condition, at an Organic Erotic exclusive price.
