A camelback sofa in olive chartreuse velvet, the green of moss after rain, of old brass going soft in the shade.
The back rises in one slow arch and falls away again, a breath held and let go. Rolled scroll arms curl outward to meet you. The velvet is a strié, finely ribbed, so the color shifts as you pass: darker in the folds, glowing where the light finds it, softened by years of being sat in and loved. Three loose cushions sit deep under your weight, and beneath them six straight mahogany legs joined by low stretchers keep it steady and true. Chippendale bones under a body made for leaning in.
