A tall pine armoire with a softly arched crown, honey-gold and worn the way only real wood wears.

Made by hand in Mexico in the French country manner, it rises to a bonnet top that curves across its full width, with a dark swirl of knot sitting right at the peak. Below, two tall doors follow the same arch. Their panels are deeply distressed, flecked and scored with dark marks that read like old handwriting under your fingertips. Hand-forged iron bat-wing hinges run down each side, and a single iron ring-and-hook latch closes the doors with a small, satisfying weight.

Open it and the inside is plain, warm pine. Shelves for folded linens and sweaters, a little drawer with its own keyhole for the things you keep close, and room below for baskets or boots. A wardrobe in your bedroom, a linen press in the hall, a pantry in a kitchen that wants something with a past.

It brings warmth and groundedness to a room. Earthy and sun-colored, a little rustic, the kind of piece that makes a space feel lived in and kept.
