Long Field in Bone and Umber

A wide horizontal canvas worked almost entirely in whites, bone and pale umber, the plaster-thick paint scraped and layered until it reads like a weathered wall. Faint bands cross it, and small notes of ochre and grey surface where the knife cut through.

Made for a long wall. Above a bed or a low sofa it does what an open window does.
