A fan of crushed velvet opening behind you like a shell. Chartreuse and moss, gold where the light lands, deep green where it falls away.

The back rises in tall upholstered channels that curve gently in toward you, holding your shoulders the way a cupped hand holds water. The velvet is crushed, so it never settles into one flat color. It shifts as you pass, gold to olive to almost brown, alive under your hand. Open arms in dark stained wood sweep forward and finish in a carved, ribbed scroll, a small place to rest your fingers. The front legs are cabriole, fluted like a shell at the knee, ending in little pad feet worn soft at the toes from decades of being loved.

This is a chair for an unhurried hour. A book, a cup of tea, the window, your feet tucked under you. Upright enough to sit well, soft enough to stay.

It brings richness and depth to a room, an earthy, mossy warmth with a whisper of old glamour, the color of a forest floor in late afternoon.
