Low and long, in deep black lacquer with moon-round hardware the color of old bronze. A quiet anchor for the room you live in most.

The form borrows from the classic Chinese altar table. A long flat top with ends that lift gently at either side, carved cloud-scroll brackets tucked beneath, and short legs that curl out into small hoof feet. Two cabinets flank an open center, each pair of doors sealed by a single round plate split down the middle, with leaf-shaped pulls that hang and swing under your fingers. The bronze is soft and muted, more shadow than shine.

At just 24 inches high, it sits right where a screen wants to be. Your media, records and books settle into the open shelves, and everything else disappears behind the doors. On top, leave room for a branch in a jug, a bowl, the things you want close.

Black lacquer brings depth and stillness to a space. It grounds a room and gives the eye a place to rest, letting the warmth of wood floors and plaster walls glow around it.

A newer piece made in the traditional style, with light wear to the lacquer that only adds to its character. Offered at an Organic Erotic exclusive price.
