Antique Round Coffee Table, Flat-Board Legs (Lighter)
Low, round, and warm, with a quieter, more curved kind of grace.
The top is three wide planks, worn to a soft honeyed brown, a touch lighter than its straight-legged kin but cut from the very same warmth. One long seam still bears its age-crack like a line drawn by time itself, and knots freckle the surface, the edge left rough and true, exactly as it was cut. Three flat-board legs set in a tripod base, jigsawn by hand into a gentle wavy silhouette and finished with a rounded paddle foot, a more delicate shape than its straight-legged kin, held fast at the apron by a single old nail.
Set it low and let it hold what your evenings need: a glass, a candle, a book left open to the middle. There is nothing precious about it and that is the point. It has already lived a long life before it found you, and it has room in it for yours too.
