Doba Afolabi :: Urban Procession

A wide, low canvas. Pale bone and cool grey buildings stack across the upper half, dragged on in flat horizontal passes and catching the light where the knife lifted. Below, the street falls into deep navy, olive and near-black — and moving through it, a crowd rendered in chartreuse and acid yellow, shoulder to shoulder, all headed the same way.

Sombre at the top, alive at the bottom. It rewards a low wall and a long look.
