Antique Terracotta Vessel, Dusty Rose
A round-bellied vessel in dusty rose terracotta, worn pale where the years have handled it. Quiet, chalky, and heavier than it looks.
The clay is unglazed and matte, blushing from bone at the shoulder down to a deeper rose at the foot. Faint throwing rings still ring the belly where a hand once turned it. The surface is pitted and mineral-flecked, and there are small chips at the rim and around the base. None of it is damage. It is simply the record of a working object that was used before it was beautiful.
Set it on the floor beside a doorway, on a low shelf, on a stack of books. It holds dried branches well, or nothing at all. Picture your evenings with it catching the last of the light, the pink coming up warm as the room goes dim.
One of a kind, and already carrying a life before yours.
