Vintage European Clay Vessel

This one has been held before. You can tell by the way the clay settled — imperfectly round, warm in the hand, carrying its age without apology. Terracotta-banded, hand-thrown, probably from a farmhouse table somewhere in southern Europe where vessels like this were just part of the day.

It belongs on a shelf, a windowsill, a wooden table. Alone or with dried grasses or a single branch. It asks nothing and offers everything: the reminder that beautiful things don't need to be new.
