Victorian Rose Velvet Camelback Loveseat
A hush of dusty rose settles into the room. Deep tufted velvet and carved wood, from another century's hand.
The camelback rises and falls in one long carved line of mahogany, its crest cut with a scrolling acanthus at the peak, the wood left bare and glowing where the fabric ends. Below it the back blooms into diamond tufting pulled deep by hand, each fold catching the light a little differently as you move past. The arms curl outward on carved scroll supports, a rounded knob at the top like a held breath, before opening into two loose cushions worked in a raised floral jacquard, soft and quietly patterned under your palm. Cabriole legs, carved at the knee, taper down to rounded feet, the mahogany worn to a deep, uneven shine.
This is not a reproduction trying to look old. It is old, and it shows. Soft creases in the velvet where evenings have leaned back, small nicks in the wood where hands have rested, a patina no finish can fake. Bring it home and let it keep aging. Materials
Solid carved mahogany frame with an aged, hand worn finish, upholstered in dusty rose velvet with hand tufted diamond back and arms, seat cushions and skirt in a raised floral jacquard velvet with corded piping. Vintage piece, sold in as is condition with wear consistent with age.
