The Umber Chesterfield
Deep-buttoned and rolled to a curl at both ends, this Chesterfield has already lived a life before it finds yours.
The leather is a dark, weathered umber brown, worn thin in the places a body returns to again and again so the color underneath shows through in soft caramel streaks. Diamond tufting pulls the whole back taut, each fold catching light differently as you move past it, and rolls up into the arms so the shape reads as one continuous gesture rather than three separate pieces. A single line of aged brass nailheads traces the curl of each arm and runs the length of the base, small and steady, the kind of detail your hand finds before your eyes do. Turned wood feet lift it just enough off the floor to feel grounded, not heavy.
Picture your evenings here. A book left open, a glass set down, the leather taking a slow new crease under where you always sit. This is not a couch that asks to be kept precious. Every mark already on it is proof it was built to be lived on, and every year after this one will only add to that record. Sit into a corner with your knees pulled up, or stretch the full length of it and let the tufting hold your neck. It settles you before you've even settled into it.
A one-of-a-kind vintage find, sourced and brought back into use, sold as-is with the wear it has already earned. No two of these exist, and this one will not come around again at this price.
