The frame is carved walnut, left bare along the arms and crest rail, its wood polished to a soft shine that catches light along every curve. Cabriole legs curve out from a serpentine base, each ending in a small scrolled foot, and the back rises and falls in the same wavelike line that runs the whole way around.
Pale grey-blue corduroy covers the cushions and back in narrow ribs, a soft update on the traditional Louis XV canapé, where showing bare wood on the frame itself was the mark of fine craftsmanship. It seats two with room to spare and settles into any corner asking for softness.
