Olive Velvet Vintage Rocking Chair
A low gathering of olive velvet, tufted and worn soft with time. The kind of chair a room quietly organizes itself around.
The back rolls in one continuous line from the diamond-tufted crown down into the arms, each finished with a single covered button and a clean edge of cream welt piping. The seat is a single deep cushion, loose and boxed, in the same brushed strié velvet, its nap catching the light differently depending on where you sit. Underneath, a dark bronze swivel base lets the whole chair turn and settle, a small motion built right into the frame.
Picture your evenings here. A book angled toward the last of the light, a record turning somewhere else in the house, the small easy pivot of the chair as you turn to answer someone at the door. Velvet like this only gets better with a room around it, deepening where hands and light have found it most.
Honest note: this is a vintage piece with real wear. The velvet shows some fading and a couple of small stain marks consistent with age and use, visible in the photos. Nothing structural, nothing that changes how it sits or turns. It is one of a kind and sold as is.
