Ming-Style Black Lacquer Side Table
This table has poise.
A square top in black lacquer, edged in a thin line of red where the lacquer has worn through. Beneath it, pierced ruyi-cloud openwork floats between the legs, held in place by gently arched humpback stretchers.
The legs run straight and slender, then turn out at the floor in small hoof feet.
Tall enough to hold a lamp beside a chair, a vessel at eye level or a stack of books by the bed. Small enough to tuck into a corner, an entry or the end of a sofa.
It brings quiet order to a room, something spare and dark and composed. The kind of line that never goes out of style.
Made in the Ming style, with the proportions and details of classical Chinese furniture. In good condition, with light wear to the lacquer and a faint ring mark on the top. Offered at the Organic Erotic exclusive price of $750.
